sites, 350 natural landmarks and 550 natural mineral springs. Bulgaria’s main river is the famous Danube.

A number of ancient civilisations, most notably the Thracians, Greeks, Romans, Bulgars and Byzantines have left their mark on the land and culture of Bulgaria; the country is well-known for its rich folklore, distinctive traditional music, rituals and tales. It is also well known for fine wine, which like their food, is inexpensive and varied; an average meal costs only 3 euro.
